Arlington, VA (January 13, 2022) — The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) announced plans today to hold the SCCT 17th Annual Scientific Meeting in person. The in-person meeting is planned to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States. The conference will be held Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17 with several pre-program courses and workshops taking place on Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14.

“The health and safety of all our Annual Scientific Meeting attendees and the patients they serve is SCCT’s utmost priority,” says SCCT President Eric Williamson, MD, MSCCT. “The Society, along with the planning committee, have taken steps to mitigate risk from the ongoing pandemic, such as requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the opening session.” Read the full SCCT Health Policy

The Annual Scientific Meeting is designed to engage physicians, trainees, technologists and healthcare professionals in a complete overview of the cardiovascular computed tomography field. Planned sessions are targeted for all levels - new practitioners and experienced providers alike. Sessions also range from general overviews to state-of-the-art research and expert discussions. Sessions will cover topics such as structural heart disease, congenital heart disease, guidelines and trials, AI/Machine learning, technical aspects of cardiac CT, coronary artery disease, and valvular heart disease.

Brian B. Ghoshhajra, MD, MBA, FSCCT, chair of the Annual Scientific Program Committee states: “The ASM program planning committee has been hard at work to create a robust and high quality educational program for in-person learning. We are enthusiastic and hopeful about returning to “real life” meetings so that we can bring our attendees the strong sense of community and collaboration we have missed, along with some really great scientific sessions. We look forward to welcoming you in Las Vegas.”

Registration for the Annual Scientific Meeting is now open with an extended Early Bird rate through May 31, 2022 to allow attendees greater flexibility in planning their travel. In addition, the SCCT2022 program has been condensed into 2.5 days of scientific sessions which will be held in a dedicated area of the Caesar’s Palace Hotel, reducing exposure to additional locations.
