Each year, the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) recognizes excellence, innovation and leadership in the field of cardiovascular CT through a series of distinguished awards. These honors celebrate individuals and research that advance patient care, scientific discovery and the global CT community.

 

SCCT Awards

Recognizing lifetime achievement and outstanding leadership through the Gold Medal Award, Arthur S. Agatston Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Award, and Achenbach Pioneer Award.


Gold Medal Award
Inaugurated in 2015, SCCT’s 10th anniversary year, the Gold Medal Award is the highest honor bestowed by SCCT and recognizes leaders who have made landmark contributions to the Society. This service award recognizes SCCT members who have exemplified leadership and a record of commitment and contributions to SCCT’s mission.

SCCT Chinnaiyan Catalyst Award for Women's Cardiovascular Health Research seeks to address this disparity by providing recognition, visibility and seed funding for research projects that highlight and improve gaps in our understanding of cardiac and vascular physiology, specifically in women, incorporating CCTA imaging.

This award will recognize and support clinical trials that use CCTA and/or CCTA-based analyses to detect atherosclerotic burden in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, using atherosclerotic plaque burden or characterization or coronary ischemia, and demonstrate a positive impact on patient outcomes.
