Gain practical, hands-on experience in cardiac CT interpretation with CTA Read with the Experts. This course featuring real-world cases from MedStar Washington Hospital Center is designed for clinicians and technologists and offers a guided, step-by-step approach to preparing and interpreting datasets on a Circle workstation — equipping you with the skills to confidently apply findings to clinical decision-making.

This course offers two unique learning opportunities:

  1. A 5-hour course that covers 10 cases in deep detail with the opportunity to manipulate the first case alongside the experts.
  2. Independent reading of 15 cases over a 30-day period along with interactive case log.

Faculty:

Gaby Weissman, MD
Sumbal Janjua, MD

Learning objectives:

  • Leverage advanced imaging reconstructions to enhance cardiac CT interpretation.
  • Recognize normal and abnormal coronary anatomy—and understand their clinical impact.
  • Navigate common pitfalls, including motion artifacts and heavy calcium burden, with proven strategies to minimize errors.
  • Explore the role of CT-derived fractional flow reserve in evaluating coronary artery stenosis.
  • Understand the advantages of cardiac CT in assessing cardiac function.

Take your expertise in cardiovascular imaging to the next level with practical insights, expert instruction and case-based learning you can apply immediately in clinical practice.

Program

Technology needs:

For optimal experience, we strongly recommend the following for this tailored workshop:

  • 2 screens or 1 large monitor
  • An external mouse
  • Great internet connection
  • Computer with great audio and a microphone
  • Need to be on the workshop the entire live virtual program, this will not be recorded and not shared with them after the fact.

All attendees will need to install the software on their computer. Attendees will need to download cases onto their workstation. Dual or large monitors are ideal for attendees to view the faculty screen while manipulating the first case at the same time.
