This structural heart disease workshop targets cardiologists and radiologists involved with mitral valve planning and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) procedures. Leading experts will provide tips and tricks on how to optimize cardiac CT acquisition and perform analysis with hands-on cases. Cases will cover native transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), valve in valve TMVR, valve-in-ring TMVR, valve-in-mitral annulus calcification, pre-LAAO and post LAAO cases.
FFRCT and plaque quantification workshop | Friday 23 Jan | 8:00 - 16:10 Faculty: Tim Fairbairn, MBChB, PhD, FRCP and Ming-Yen Ng, MBBS, FSCCT
This workshop will give attendees the unique opportunity to try out various FFRCT and plaque quantification packages and learn from the experience of international faculty on how best to use FFRCT and plaque quantification for their practices. Attendees will also gain further in-depth understanding of pericoronary fat attenuation analysis and its potential impact on patient management.
Technologist/ Radiographer educational course | Saturday 24 Jan | 8:00 - 16:15 This dedicated technologist workshop will feature a faculty of international technologists/ radiographers and aims to improve technologists'/ radiographers' skills in acquiring high quality cardiac CT images and producing excellent post-processed images. Topics will include why we perform cardiac CT, improving image acquisition through understanding ECG patterns, preparing patients with medications and verbal/ non-verbal cues and post-processing of cardiac CT cases.
“We do hope that you will take the opportunity to participate in this esteemed scientific meeting and look forward to welcoming you to a wonderful visit to Hong Kong.”
