SCCT Endorsement Course Application

The SCCT Endorsement of Cardiovascular CT Training Courses Program was created by SCCT leadership to ensure that training courses for cardiovascular CT maintain a high level of quality throughout the globe.

Courses that are endorsed by SCCT benefit from:

Using the statement: Endorsed by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, the professional society devoted exclusively to cardiovascular CT.
Use of the SCCT Endorsed Course logo in the training course promotional material.
Course listing on the SCCT website.*
A mention in one (1) SCCT newsletter.

The following documents are required as a part the application:

A training course curriculum/course description demonstrating the didactic elements as described in the ACCF/AHA clinical competence statement on cardiac CT (Budoff MJ, Cohen MC, Garcia MJ et al. ACCF/AHA clinical competence statement on cardiac imaging with computed tomography and magnetic resonance. Journal of American College of Cardiology. 2005;46:383-402)
If the course states they are providing Level 2 or 3 education, it must demonstrate alignment with SCCT verification criteria; see https://scct.org/page/SCCTVerificationProg.
A detailed agenda/schedule of lectures and hands-on workstation laboratory time.
CV of the training course director(s)
A sample reading list of the cases to be read and interpreted
A copy for the certificate that will be given to attendees at the end of the course
Draft marketing materials

Application fees:

A non-refundable application fee of $800 is due with this application for consideration for endorsement of the training course for a period of 3 year.
Following the completion of the 3 year period, courses in good standing will need to supply a renewal application along with a non-refundable renewal application fee of $400 for continuation of the endorsement for the next 3 years.
A separate application and application fee must be submitted for each training course with a different course director or curriculum.

Annual fees:

$1,000 each year for up to 3 delivery events per year
$250 per delivery event beyond the initial 3
The first year's fee will be assessed following the approval of the training course's endorsement.

A delivery event is defined as a discrete, complete educational course for which an attendee receives a completion certificate, delivered by live faculty to a defined group of attendees over a defined time period. Delivery of the same curriculum to a different group of attendees is considered a new delivery event, regardless of location or overlap in delivery dates.

*It is the responsibility of the course provider to ensure that the course listing is up-to-date; including providing upcoming course dates. SCCT will update listings within 3 business days of notification of changes.

Endorsement is valid for 3 years as long as all criteria are met. Promotional items
Training courses which are endorsed by SCCT may state the following in their promotional literature: Endorsed by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, the professional society devoted exclusively to cardiovascular CT. Training course may print the SCCT logo next to the above endorsement statement in the training course promotional material. Course listings and promotional materials must include the statement: “SCCT has no involvement with the organization or administration of this course. SCCT endorses this content as relevant and of benefit to the cardiovascular computed tomography community.” The SCCT logo and endorsement language may not appear in literature, website pages or promotional materials which are not directly related to the endorsed training course. A proof of promotional material where the SCCT logo is used must be approved by SCCT prior to final printing. It is the responsibility of the endorsed training course if material must be reprinted. SCCT reserves the right to limit the use of its logo and endorsement language. SCCT will provide a course listing on the SCCT website.* SCCT will mention the course in one (1) SCCT newsletter per year. Course providers must SCCT the opportunity to share market materials for distribution to attendees (either print or digital). *It is the responsibility of the course provider to ensure that the course listing is up-to-date; including providing upcoming course dates. Criteria for removal of endorsement
