SCCT Clinical Trials and Registries Award

The SCCT Clinical Trials and Registries Award

This award will recognize and support clinical trials that use CCTA and/or CCTA-based analyses to detect atherosclerotic burden in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, using atherosclerotic plaque burden or characterization or coronary ischemia,  and demonstrate a positive impact on patient outcomes.

Researchers who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to submit their trial for consideration by April 30, 2025.

Winner and runner-up will receive:
  • Prize money in the amount of $10,000 (winner)
  • Prize money in the amount of $5,000 (runner-up)
  • Complimentary full professional SCCT membership for one year
  • Complimentary registration to SCCT2025 in Montréal, Canada
  • Travel support to Montréal, Canada; including airport transfers
  • 3 nights’ accommodation at the DoubleTree by Hilton Montréal
  • A plaque
Presentation:

The winner is invited to make a 20-minute presentation during the Opening Session of the SCCT Annual Scientific Meeting on Friday, July 18, 2025. 

Runner-up is invited to give a presentation during the Original Research Presentations/Awards Sessions. 

Eligibility:

  • Prospective trials, prospective or retrospective large registries that investigated CCTA-based analyses of atherosclerotic burden.
  • Primary trial/registry analyses or novel/impactful secondary analyses of previously published studies. Substantial new analyses with novel hypotheses are required.
  • Results demonstrate the impact of CCTA-based atherosclerotic burden analysis on clinical outcomes, quality of care, or clinical practice changes.
  • Results were not previous published or presented in part or entirety in the past.
  • Authors are encouraged to submit the results of their work to the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (JCCT).
