Comprehensive Board Review and Update of Cardiovascular CT
July 13 - 14, 2022
The 14th Annual SCCT Comprehensive Board Review and Update of Cardiovascular CT is designed to engage physicians and healthcare professionals interpreting cardiac CT in a comprehensive exploration of all aspects of cardiovascular CT principles,
methodologies, and clinical practice. The course focuses on "core" knowledge and is intended for those wanting to review the basics and those studying for the CBCCT and ACR Board Exams.
Chair: Armin Zadeh, MD, PhD, MPH, FSCCT

Specialty Hands-On Workshops
July 13 and July 14, 2022
Coronary CTA Academy: Cases from Basic to Intermediate
Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14
Chairs: Andrew Choi, MD, FSCCT, Dinesh Kalra, MD, FSCCT & Anna Reid, MBChB, PhD
This two-day training course with expert faculty provides a unique opportunity to improve cardiovascular CT reading skills through personal hands-on training on workstations with immediate feedback by invasive coronary angiography for all 50 cases. The course material is selected to cover typical findings and artifacts that can mimic or obscure stenoses, as well as difficult anatomic situations. Cases are selected to highlight specific teaching points. Participants will have extensive exposure to interpretation of carefully selected coronary CT angiography datasets, including hands-on evaluation of 35 coronary CTA cases (maximum of 2 participants per workstation and at least 15 minutes allocated to each case). In addition, attendees will be introduced to the basics of interpreting cardiac CT cases performed for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) planning.
This activity is supported by an educational grant from and by in-kind support from GE Healthcare and Siemens Healthineers.
AI/ML Hands-on Workshop
Thursday, July 14 | No CME
Chair: Ed Nicol, MD, MBA, FSCCT
This meeting will focus on giving delegates hands-on experience of some of the exciting developments in AI and ML, that have the potential to impact on cardiovascular medicine and cardiovascular CT.
Recognizing that the potential of these technologies is still broad, and opportunities to gain hands-on experience with these tools is limited, we will focus in this first meeting on tools that allow AI/ML to be applied to the assessment of coronary artery disease.
The day will start with a brief recap of the technical and clinical applications of these technologies with the day being provided by from a faculty drawn from a wide range of stakeholders from clinical, academic and commercial arenas.
After two in-depth sessions using technology on personal computers, the day will conclude with multiple industry talks outlining the breadth of initiatives in this rapidly evolving field.
Thank you to Cleerly, Inc., Elucid, HeartFlow and Philips Healthcare for their support of this event.
†The Cleerly sponsored hands-on session is limited by the sponsor to non-industry employed attendees.
TAVR + TMVR Workshop | SOLD OUT
Thursday, July 14
Chairs: Jonathon Leipsic, MD, MSCCT and João Cavalcante, MD, FSCCT
Mentored interpretation of CT exams performed in preparation of transcatheter interventions of aortic valve disease and mitral valve disease on dedicated workstations. Participants will learn the objectives of the exam and perform essential measurements to determine patient eligibility, select devices and guide safe performance of the procedure.
This activity is supported by an educational grant from and by in-kind support from TeraRecon.
Congenital Heart Disease Workshop
Thursday, July 14
Chairs: B. Kelly Han, MD, FSCCT & Kelley Branch, MD, FSCCT
The Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiovascular CT Workshop was developed to fill this educational gap within the field of cardiology and radiology. Designed for adult cardiovascular imagers, this introductory workshop will use a work-station and case-based approach to discuss optimal acquisition and interpretation of CT scans in CHD.
This activity is supported by an educational grant from and by in-kind support from CMI (formerly VITAL Images).
Tricuspid, Pulmonic, and LAAO Workshop
Thursday, July 14
Chairs: Omar Khalique, MD, FSCCT and Markus Scherer, MD, FSCCT
The workshop will provide an overview of cardiac CT analysis techniques for tricuspid, LAAO, and pulmonic valve structural interventions as well as hands-on instruction of these techniques. Attendees will gain experience using a number of real-life
cases selected by experienced workshop faculty.
This activity is supported by an educational grant from and by in-kind support from Pie Medical Imaging (3mensio).
