The Lincoln Memorial towers over the Reflecting Pool on theNational Mall. The structure anchors the western end of the Mall, and is a must-see for every visitor to the nation’s capital.

 

 

The home of every U.S. president except George Washington, recent tours of the White House have been expanded to include parties of 10 or more people. Tour requests MUST be made through one's member of Congress and will be accepted up to 6 months in advance.

 

 

The National Zoo is located in DC’s residentialWoodley Parkneighborhood and, like all Smithsonian museums, admission is free. The zoo is just a short walk from both the Woodley Park and Cleveland Park Metro stops on the Red Line. The National Zoo is open from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm seven days a week. Be prepared to do lots of walking! The National Zoo, which is handicapped and stroller accessible.  

 

The newly opened National Museum of African American History and Culture is located at 1400 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, between Madison Drive and Constitution Avenue and between 14th and 15th Streets. The Museum is open 7-days a week, and the regular operating hours are from 10:00 am – 5:30 pm.
