Case of the Month Program

Dear Colleagues,

You really cannot miss Orlando this coming July. This will be the best meeting ever held in cardiac CT. Let me tell you why.

The 4th Annual Scientific Meeting, under the outstanding leadership of Drs. Stephan Achenbach and Allen Taylor will be filled with new, exciting information about cardiac CT, with something in it for everyone — from the physicist wanting to discuss latest developments to the beginning practitioner wanting to gain as much practical case reading experience as possible.

You will learn about where the field is going as new applications are developed. These range from cardiac CT for assessment of myocardial perfusion at rest and stress, infarct imaging, plaque imaging, and comprehensive automated software approaches that improve workflow to various new ways in which non-contrast CT can be used to gain further information beyond coronary calcium analysis.

You will have an opportunity to network with others in the field, providing an opportunity to see how others perform, interpret, and report studies, as well as to how they run their practices.

Need another reason? There have been a record number of abstracts submitted for the meeting-exceeding by 25% the numbers submitted last year. I do not believe any other meeting has had more submitted abstracts on cardiac CT. This provides an opportunity for you to learn of latest developments in the field in terms of pushing the envelope in technology and in developing new evidence regarding the use of cardiac CT.

I encourage you to come early and attend the 2nd Cardiovascular CT Board Review Course. The 1st Cardiovascular CT Board Review Course sold out with an audience of 500 lucky people. I was particularly struck by the number of times I heard attendees say, "this was the best meeting I have ever been to." The buzz caused by the excellence of the course material, under the direction of Drs. Guy Weigold, Ricardo Cury, and Armin Arbab-Zadeh was simply superb. In fact, the reviews were so good that I have signed up to be an attendee at this year's Board Review and plan to attend the entire course. I suggest you sign up for the Board Review course early, as the room size is limited.

I look forward to seeing you in Orlando.
