- Annual Meeting
|Live training opportunities|
SCCT strives to give our community access to educational offerings designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of physicians, technologists and other who interpret cardiovascular CT. Education can be accessed through:
SCCT's educational offerings cover the full range of cardiovascular CT activities. Our in-person, hands-on courses and training workshops are taught by a diverse roster of experienced and highly competent faculty.
Participants travel from all over the globe for access to the best training and the brightest minds in cardiovascular CT. They ask questions, enhance their skills and build relationships. Most importantly - they carry the momentum forward to their practice to deliver the safest and most effective outcomes.
Procedural planning with cardiovascular computed tomography: TAVR and Beyond
Participants will learn how to use cardiovascular CT to optimize clinical outcomes in TAVR with a focus on annular sizing, device selection, and reduction in complications.
CTA Academy Course
Mentored interpretation of coronary CTA on dedicated cardiac CT workstations. Learn to read cardiac CT scans using various post-processing tools, interpret coronary artery disease, and handle common artifacts. All cases will be accompanied by correlation with invasive coronary angiography and clinical scenario. Workshop includes 25 hands-on cases.
This broad-spectrum training course, delivered by a highly experienced team, will provide radiographers with a complete understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the acquisition of Cardiac CT. This training will be delivered to candidates through a series of lectures and small group learning. The overall outcome is to provide candidates with the knowledge base and practical skills to competently perform Cardiac CT in their own workplace.

Advances in Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI: 35th Annual Case Review with the Experts
Description: A major national healthcare imperative for noninvasive imaging is for the tests that are used to provide value. Nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI studies provide powerful tools for diagnosis, risk assessment, and guiding management of selected patients with known or suspected cardiac disease. In the current environment, imaging must address the combined considerations of improving outcomes and containing costs. To this end, advanced cardiac imaging studies must be ordered on the right patients and optimally performed, interpreted, reported, and acted upon by physicians and allied health professionals. Additionally, effective methods to reduce radiation exposure need to be implemented to maximize patient safety. There is a clear need of physicians performing, interpreting and those who order the tests to understand the issues regarding value-based imaging and to optimally implement this understanding. We meet these educational needs through a live three-day symposium entitled: Advances in Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI: 35th Annual Case Review with the Experts.

HungaryBudapest Level 2
2019 dates: Decemeber 9 - 13
Description: The use of Multi-Detector CT (MDCT) for the diagnosis of various cardiac diseases has become increasingly important in recent years. This is mainly due to the introduction of high performance cardiac CT scanners to routine clinical use.Cardiac CT is a robust tool for the assessment of the cardiac and vascular anatomy and detection of coronary artery stenosis. Coronary atherosclerotic plaque characterization and percutaneous coronary intervention planning will have an important role in cardiovascular medicine in the near future. Experienced Cardiology and Radiology clinicians from Semmelweis University have organized a 4-day comprehensive cardiac CT training course to teach “state-of-the-art” cardiovascular MDCT targeting both Cardiology and Radiology colleagues who already have experience in cardiac CT imaging.

The London Cardiac CT Academy
2020 Dates: February 4 - 8 Hilton London Tower Bridge London , United Kingdom
Description: The London CT Academy was founded in 2015 with the sole aim to provide expert level cardiac CT training to those seeking to further their experience in this imaging modality. It developed from a desire to create a new style of premier CT Academy which placed the emphasis on the learner and novel teaching methods. The underlying ethos of the course is to deliver teaching in an informative and interactive manner to enhance the learning experience for our delegates. For this reason, the London CT Academy was the first in the world to offer a Level 1 online CT course to all delegates as pre-course material prior to attending the on-site Level II Academy. This introduction enabled the delegates to spend more time on the workstations and to maximize their experience and learning from the on-site expert faculty.
