Why should I get involved in SCCT advocacy?
Share |

Quite simply, for three very important reasons:

All SCCT members—by definition—have chosen as their profession to serve patients and their families.

All SCCT members have dedicated their lives to providing the highest possible care to patients. SCCT’s advocacy and lobbying efforts are similarly dedicated to that fundamental goal.

You have much more power than you realize.  All too often, caregivers don’t know how much influence they have.  Working together—with well-planned goals, data and tactics—our community can in fact create genuine, positive change in policies.

If you don’t get involved, others will—and those “others” may not have the best interests of our community and our patients in mind.
