Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography names finalists for SOAR Award
Vienna, VA (July 2, 2018) — Six early-career radiologists and cardiologists have been selected as finalists for the 12th Annual Siemens Healthineers Outstanding Academic Research (SOAR) Awards. Each finalist will present their research at the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting, July 12 – 15 in Dallas, Texas. The SOAR Awards program supports the professional and clinical development of physicians and scientists, with an emphasis on those who have completed a cardiovascular computed tomography imaging training program within the last four years.

The following six finalists will present their abstracts before an independent panel of judges on Friday, July 13, from 1:45 – 3:15pm:

· Fay Nous, MD
· Nobuo Tomizawa, MD
The judges will select one winning finalist and one runner-up finalist, and each will receive a cash prize. The winning finalist will be invited to submit his or her original research manuscript for priority peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (JCCT).
