This hands-on course, led by Kelly Han, MD, FSCCT, is designed for pediatric and adult congenital imagers who understand the basics of CT in CHD and are interested in reviewing and learning from complex cases in unrepaired/palliated CHD. There will be 25 cases selected to illustrate CT techniques or unique CHD lesions/findings. The cases will focus on complex neonatal CHD, single ventricle CHD and PVR planning and complications post procedure.

Patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) are increasingly evaluated with cardiovascular computed tomography (CCT) from neonatal life through adulthood. There is no established educational platform specific to the performance of CT in CHD.

This course is designed for pediatric and adult congenital imagers who understand the basics of CT in CHD and are interested in reviewing and learning from complex cases in unrepaired and repaired/palliated CHD.

This is a workstation based course with 25 cases selected to illustrate CT techniques or unique CHD lesions/findings. The cases will focus on complex neonatal CHD, single ventricle CHD and PVR planning and complications post procedure.

Faculty:

B. Kelly Han, MD, FSCCT

Learning Objectives:

Upon completing the course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand contrast techniques and acquisition protocols for moderate to complex CHD
  • Understand dose optimization specific to CHD indication
  • Understand post processing techniques to illustrate CT findings in CHD

View program

For optimal experience, we strongly recommend the following for this tailored workshop:

  • 2 screens or 1 large monitor
  • An external mouse
  • Great internet connection
  • Computer with great audio and a microphone
  • Need to be on the workshop the entire live virtual program, this will not be recorded and not shared with them after the fact.

All attendees may need to install the software on their computer. Dual or large monitors are ideal for attendees to view the faculty screen while manipulating cases at the same time.

A buttonology course will be held on December 6.
