Saturday, May 6, 2023
Chair: Nikkole Weber, AS RT ( R)(CT)(M) CSCCT
Description: Building on the incredible education shared in our first symposium, Basic Review & Update 2023, the second symposium is 3.5 hours and will elevate your level of cardiac CT knowledge. This course will encompass sessions about a wide variety of exams including coronary calcification CT, coronary CTA, triple rule out, CT exams used for preoperative planning and postoperative evaluation of cardiac valves, and finally exams designed to visualize heart structure and morphology. Attendees will be given information on all aspects of the exam including discussions about appropriate use of cardiac medications, IV contrast and scan protocol parameters. Throughout the symposium, you will learn about strategies and tools to obtain high-quality exams on difficult-to-image patients.

3D/Post Processing 2023
Saturday, November 4, 2023
Chair: Kimberly Hatch RT(R)(CT)
Description: This 3-hour symposium is the third in a series of educational materials for technologists scanning cardiovascular exams. We have emphasized the importance of patient preparation, the use of cardiac medications, IV contrast and indication based protocol parameters in the previous two courses. In this course we will explain how these key elements of cardiac scanning impact the post processing outcome. There are several different applications that can be used to create a multitude of images. Why we need these images, what they are used for and how they assist in diagnosis for patient care will be explored in this session.
