This hands-on workshop is ideal for novice and intermediate readers or those looking for a refresher. The number of attendees is limited to allow for individual attention as needed from chairs Jeannie Yu, MD, FSCCT and Quynh Truong, MD, MPH, FSCCT.
This virtual-based, two-day course will provide a unique opportunity for participants to train on full CCTA imaging datasets of 50 cases and compare their interpretations to corresponding invasive coronary angiograms. Course participants will participate online in hands-on evaluation of CCTA cases (full imaging data sets, mimicking a real-world practice environment in which manipulation of 3 dimensional data sets is required for image interpretation).
Over a two-day period, participants will interpret 50 CCTA cases. Each case and its corresponding invasive coronary angiography will then be reviewed by SCCT faculty, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the case. The review with SCCT faculty will allow for optimization and calibration of coronary CTA interpretation against CCTA experts, as well as against the established gold standard of invasive coronary angiography. The CCTA cases presented will span a range of difficulty of cases and types of findings/pathology.
There will be two didactic lectures on “Tips and Tricks” and “Advances in Cardiac CT.” This course will allow cardiac CT readers at the basic level to refine their image interpretation skills and intermediate cardiac CT readers to maintain their level of competency while refining their skills.
Prior to starting the course, participants will be trained on buttonology of the web-based platform of the cardiac workstation.
For optimal experience, we strongly recommend the following for this tailored workshop:
- 2 monitors or 1 extra-large monitor
- An external mouse
- Internet with no browser restrictions and good bandwidth
- Computer with good audio and a microphone

All attendees will need to install the VMware for Canon/Vital on their computer. Dual or large monitors are ideal for attendees to view the chairs' screen while manipulating cases at the same time.
***The course will not be recorded.
